The Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AICW) is one of the most popular and rewarding cruising routes in the United States. Stretching roughly 1,100 miles from Norfolk, Virginia to Key West, Florida, the AICW offers protected waters, charming towns, abundant wildlife, and countless cruising memories. At the same time, it presents unique navigational challenges that require preparation, attention, and flexibility. The following tips will help you navigate the Atlantic ICW safely and confidently.

As we gear up for another Florida legislative session, we’ve been meeting with key legislators to discuss the recently passed anchoring laws. Some are asking about the impact of the new laws on boaters. We need your help answering that question.

The timing of this article couldn’t be better as many of you are looking to move to the East coast of Florida using this route.  The timing was also great because Steve and I were just in the process of moving a boat from Labelle to Stuart.
