Seminar Structure
The Rendezvous features more than 20 seminars divided into two dedicated paths. Attendees are completely free to switch between tracks at will—no pre-registration is required for individual sessions.
Important Note: Out of respect for our speakers and the presentations they developed and to encourage live engagement, recording of these sessions is strictly prohibited.
Track 1: Route Briefings
This track provides over 10 hours of detailed navigational guidance covering the southern portion of the Great Loop, from Orange Beach all the way to Norfolk, Virginia. Gold and Platinum Loopers will highlight must-visit marinas, peaceful anchorages, local attractions, and critical safety or navigational tips for the following segments (subject to change):
- Orange Beach to Apalachicola - Platinum Loopers Tsali & Jacque Bentley, Compass Rose
- The Gulf Crossing - Platinum Loopers Eddy & Linda Johnsen, Spiritus
- The Big Bend Route - TBA
- Clearwater to Miami - Platinum Loopers Tsali & Jacque Bentley, Compass Rose
- Miami to Jacksonville - Gold Looper Tim Vandersall, Wilma May
- Jacksonville to Norfolk - Gold Loopers Rio & April DeGennaro, Ti Amo
- Side Trip: St Johns River - Gold Looper Tim Vandersall, Wilma May
- Side Trip: The Bahamas - Waterway Guide Contributor Addison Chan, Land & Sea Corp.
Track 2: Looping 101
Designed for more general cruising lifestyle and technical knowledge, this track covers essential skills for completing the Loop. To ensure the content matches what you actually need, attendees will be polled about a week after registration opens to vote on the topics they want covered.
Common subjects typically include:
- Weather interpretation and trip planning
- Anchoring and locking
- Understanding and optimizing marine electronics
