Update on Our Advocacy Efforts

Loopers have now contributed $13,666 towards our advocacy fundraising goal of $24,000.  That’s huge progress over our last update. Much thanks goes out to those of you who have supported this effort!

The bills that would eliminate overnight anchoring in much of the southern part of Biscayne Bay are still in play in Florida with just a few more weeks left in the session. Our lobbyist is working hard to ensure that we don’t lose more anchorages for overnight stays near the shoreline of Miami Beach.  Please think about how much you spend for a single night’s dockage in that area and consider contributing that amount to our advocacy fund to help keep anchoring a possibility! If we don’t raise the funds to pay our lobbyist for this year’s efforts, we won’t be able to retain her next year and we will most certainly lose ground.

Contributing to our advocacy fund is fast and easy, and you can select any amount you choose. We appreciate your support!
