2024 National Safe Boating Week

National Safe Boating Week (May 18-24, 2024) is a reminder to all boaters to brush up on boating safety skills and prepare for the boating season. Join AGLCA and get involved, beginning with Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day on Friday, May 17!

The simplest way to protect everyone aboard your boat this season is to be sure everyone is wearing a life jacket. Your grandkids, your dog, and, yes, even your cockatoo should wear a life jacket.

Next, we encourage you to take a safe-boating course. In 2021, we provided a 7-part safety course to our members, with the intention to help some of our newer members focus on safety while bringing a refresher course to those who have been long-term boaters. This course does not result in the certificate required in some states, but it is great preparation to take your state course. It also allowed us to take a deep dive into some of the more important topics that aren't covered at length during a safe boating certificate course. This webinar series is FREE for AGLCA members!
