Accommodations are limited at Joe Wheeler State Park so procedures are in place to maximize lodge rooms and marina slips.
LODGE ROOMS
The lodge is limited to 74 rooms and AGLCA has reserved the entire lodge for the Rendezvous but you must register first for the Rendezvous before you can make a lodge reservation.
If you select lodge as your accommodation preference during the registration process, your name will be forwarded to the lodge so that you can make a reservation. You will not be able to make a reservation until your Rendezvous registration has been confirmed to the lodge by AGLCA. Please wait at least 24 business hours before calling the lodge to make your reservation to ensure your name is on the AGLCA list. The lodge can be reached at 256-247-5461 Ext. 1.
Lodging is not included in the Rendezvous registration fee. Lodge room rates are $95 per night for standard rooms, $115 per night for junior suites, and $160 per night for suites. Taxes and fees will be added to these rates.
MARINA SLIPS
The marina is limited to 50 transient slips and AGLCA has reserved all of them for the Rendezvous but you must register first for the Rendezvous in order to reserve a slip.
If you select the Marina Slip Ticket during the registration process, the boat information you provided will be forwarded to the marina. They will contact you directly to confirm your slip within a week or so from your registration date. Do not call the marina because they will not accept a reservation directly from you. You must be a confirmed Rendezvous attendee by AGLCA for them to confirm your slip. Please be patient while you wait for the marina to confirm your slip reservation.
Slips are not included in the Rendezvous registration fee. Marina slip rates are $1.25/foot or a $30.00 minimum per night.
ANCHORING
Since marina slips are limited, you may want to consider anchoring as an alternative if you are coming by boat.

ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATIONS
The lodge rooms and marina slips tend to sell out fast for the Rendezvous.
If you are looking for alternative hotel accommodations, there are very few hotel options in Rogersville. The better options for hotels are in Florence and Athens, which are both about 15-20 miles from Joe Wheeler State Park. Joe Wheeler does have a campground as well as cabins and cottages, which won't necessarily be in close proximity to the Rendezvous meeting space so transportation will likely be needed if you choose one of these options.
There are no other marinas in Rogersville either so the closest marinas will also be in Athens or Florence, which would require a car to attend the Rendezvous at Joe Wheeler. Lucy's Branch Marina is in Athens and Florence Harbor Marina is in Florence.
