Welcome to AGLCA's Virtual Docktails where Loopers can connect on special interest topics! Each Zoom social breakout room will be hosted by a Gold Looper or a representative from AGLCA. The groups are intended to be interactive and fun with no structured agenda!  For the July 23rd virtual event, the breakout room topics are below.  Hosts for each room will be announced soon.

Loopers Who Love Canada hosted by Karen & Eric Martin, Tropical Horizons
With many of our Loopers currently in Canada, we felt it was only appropriate to include "Loopers Who Love Canada" as a topic for our July Virtual Docktails!

This breakout room can be for Canadians who want to share tips of their home areas or Loopers currently in Canada who want to discuss. You can even join this room if you've Looped through Canada and loved it, or if you hope to one day!

Working While Looping hosted by Alison Major, Fika and Loop Life Academy
One of the HOTTEST topics over the last year or two has been the idea of working from the Loop. Remote work opened up a huge opportunity for many who previously thought they'd need to wait until retirement to Loop.

If you worked, are currently working, or plan to work from the Loop, join us for this Virtual Docktails. Everyone will be encouraged to share best-practices, tips, struggles and triumphs of working aboard while Looping.

Honey I Bought a Boat. . .Now What? hosted by April & Rio DeGennaro, Ti Amo and Brent Bowlin, Light & Salty and Great Loop Yacht Sales
We see this often. Loopers join the AGLCA. They buy a boat. But then, Step 3 isn't always clear. Do you practice? Plan? Provision? Or find a buddy boat and toss your lines?

While there isn't a wrong way or even a most common way, many Loopers find it reassuring and helpful to hear what others do once they buy the boat. Join us for this fun discussion on the post-purchase period.  We'd love to have a mix of seasoned Loopers willing to share their experiences, as well as new members excited to map out their next steps!

Wisconsin vs. Michigan (Side of Lake Michigan) hosted by Scott & Amy Heidler, Who Dat and Mark Dawes, Jeanne Baret
You could easily spend 10 summers on Lake Michigan and still not see it all! With seemingly an infinite number of charming towns and must-see stops, Loopers always struggle to consolidate their time on Lake Michigan into one Loop season.

Whether you live in the area and you've done it all, or you've Looped and made the difficult decisions about where to spend your time, we'd love for you to join this virtual docktails discussion. Come prepared to share your favorites while our planners take notes of your can't-miss stops. And, of course, weigh in: Wisconsin or Michigan?

Delayed:  Navigating Proverbial Roadblocks While Looping hosted by Paul & Mary McKinney, Frida Cat
Here is the worst kept secret of Looping: you will have a delay at some point during your Loop. Maybe two. It might be something you prepare for, or it could be completely unexpected. And it will likely be out of your control! So how do you handle the proverbial roadblocks while Looping?

Join us for a discussion on a topic that all Gold Loopers have overcome and many have expressed as being some of the most memorable days of their journey. Find out how to turn lemons into lemonade, and maybe even make it into a cocktail!

AGLCA Member Q&A hosted by Kim Russo (The Perch), AGLCA Director
Meet some of our newest members (or long-term members with questions!) during this open Q&A facilitated by AGLCA Director Kim Russo. We recommend you check out our website tutorials to get an idea of the membership benefits available to you, and then come with your questions about anything and everything related to AGLCA. Kim will be happy to answer whatever is unclear about what AGLCA offers. We are fortunate to have a full-time staff ready and willing to help as you plan and execute your Great Loop adventure.  Use this session to learn more about everything included with your AGLCA membership or ask Kim general questions about the Great Loop.

During the registration process, you will inidicate which breakout room you plan to attend but you will also be able to move to another breakout room during the event if you choose to do so.

Upon registering, you will receive the Zoom link for the virtual docktails but you will also be able to find it in "My Events", which can be found under "My Account" on the homepage menu bar of the AGLCA website when you are logged in.  Just click "View Booking" by the appropriate event to see the Zoom link.

Registration closes on Wednesday, July 23rd at noon eastern.
