- Additional information
- ***2002 Mainship 390 Vessel Walk-Through***
Board from the broad fiberglass swim platform through the centerline transom door into the covered cockpit. Here, a custom storage box doubles as cushioned seating, while molded stairs with a stainless steel handrail lead to the flybridge. Side decks provide access to the foredeck, and a large screened sliding door opens into the salon.
Inside, warm wood finishes and a teak-and-holly sole create a welcoming living space. The lower helm sits forward to starboard beside a sliding side-deck door. The galley keeps meal preparation close to the main living area, with the two staterooms and head forward.
***Mainship 390 Salon & Dining***
The salon is arranged for everyday comfort, with a futon-style sofa that converts to a full berth and the original adjustable Mainship high/low table. Opening screened windows, an opening center windshield, and the screened cockpit doorway provide natural ventilation.
A 32-inch Roku smart television, Kenwood Bluetooth stereo, and new salon curtains complement the space. Two-zone air conditioning with reverse-cycle heat adds comfort throughout the seasons. The electrical panel is by the main door for easy access.
***Mainship 390 Galley***
Equipped for extended stays aboard, the galley features Corian countertops, generous cabinetry, and additional custom storage behind the television. A Nova Kool AC/DC refrigerator and freezer, replaced in June 2024, provides convenient cold storage.
Galley highlights include:
-Three-burner Princess electric stove and oven
-Sunbeam microwave
-Built-in Black & Decker coffee maker
-Stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water
-New faucet with sprayer
-Dedicated plate and bowl storage
***Mainship 390 Accommodations***
Dream Looper offers two comfortable staterooms. The forward owner’s stateroom features an island queen berth with drawers and storage below, cedar-lined hanging lockers, bedside outlets, and reading lights. An overhead hatch and two portlights provide natural light and ventilation.
The guest stateroom to port features twin berths, a cedar-lined hanging locker, reading light, and under-berth storage. An opening hatch and portlight keep the space bright and airy. With the salon’s convertible full-size berth, Dream Looper accommodates up to six overnight.
***Mainship 390 Head & Shower***
The molded fiberglass head is designed for easy cleaning and includes a vanity with storage, a mirrored medicine cabinet, and a separate shower with a seat. Additional storage can be found in the shower. An opening hatch and portlight provide ventilation. The Jabsco electric raw-water toilet with macerator was replaced in January 2024.
***Mainship 390 Flybridge & Upper Helm***
The spacious flybridge is a natural gathering place, offering panoramic views, a double-width helm seat, port and starboard bench seating, and a folding centerline table. A hunter-green Sunbrella enclosure with zip-out clear panels provides shelter and flexible ventilation.
The upper helm includes engine instrumentation, bow thruster and windlass controls, trim tab controls, and navigation electronics. A rail-mounted Magma grill adds an outdoor cooking option, while a flybridge hoist makes lifting supplies aboard the upper deck more convenient.
***Mainship 390 Lower Helm & Navigation***
The lower helm provides an indoor operating station with direct access to the starboard side deck—a useful feature when handling lines or docking. Equipment includes engine controls and gauges, a compass, Icom VHF, bow thruster controls, windlass controls, and trim tab controls.

***Comments***
Dream Looper is one of the popular Mainship 390's with classic trawler lines. She has a modified vee hull with a keel and the preferred single Caterpillar 3126 350 hp diesel for efficient running between 7-10 knots. These vessels are great loopers with low maintenance due to no outside varnish and fiberglass decks; they are very comfortable for a couple with occasional guests. The flybridge is a delight with her enclosure, convertible and expansive seating. Dream Looper has been owned by a knowledgeable captain and crew who have maintained all her systems correctly.
