Canadian built and designed by Hayden Gozzard, "Miracles" was built to withstand heavy seas and provide a safe comfortable ride in all conditions. With her clipper bow, full keel, and large sail area, this big 36-footer offers classic looks with modern features such as aluminum spars, aluminum toe rail, non-skid fiberglass deck, updated B&G electronics, and a 1998 Yanmar 50hp diesel. On deck you will find the large 5' bowsprit with tall rail to make anchor handling safe, chain locker, and a watertight bulkhead. Equipped as a cruiser, sail inventory includes a new mainsail (never installed), a second main that is usable but heavily worn, a jib (with Harken roller furling), gennaker, and staysail. There are 2 self-tailing winches, 4 regular winches, and a whisker pole. The cockpit features lazarette storage on the starboard side, propane locker to port, Edson pedestal helm, teak railing, and teak trim. The built in double set of companionway doors makes entry to the cabin easy while providing ventilation and protection. Down below, the 2-stateroom design is much larger than other 36 footers, offering plenty of storage and an open, livable feeling. The unique opening butterfly hatch above the saloon brightens the interior and allows for great ventilation in fair weather as well as adding some old world flair to the design. Combined with 10 portholes in the cabin trunk and multiple hatches, this interior is bright and airy. The head includes a separate tub/shower and has a composting toilet which helps eliminate the odors experienced with a holding tank and hose system. The galley includes a 2-burner propane stove, microwave oven, icebox, and pressure water system.
