For the last three years, we have been preparing our 2002 Mainship 430 for the Great Loop and the Caribbean. We already did the Down East Loop in 2022 on another trawler and knew what we needed in a perfect loop boat.

However, our plans have changed; we are moving to Spain and have to sell our Mainship.

I'm pretty sure she is one of the best, if not the best, Mainship 430 out there because:

- Freshwater boat, which spent all her life around Alexandria, VA
- Engines are like new with under 450 hours. The original owner did not put many hours on her, and we are the second owners
- As a part of the refit, we replaced and updated most of the systems on the boat, making it an ultimate "Loop machine".

- 2x Yanmar 6LYA-STP engines with only 430 hours and good recent oil analysis done in Sep 2025
Major preventive maintenance was done on both engines:
- All the heat exchangers on both engines were removed, taken apart, cleaned, the seals replaced, and pressure tested
- Both turbos on both engines were replaced with new ones. Old turbos are kept as spares.
- All injectors were replaced with new ones (tested and adjusted by a specialized company before installation)

- The whole bottom was soda-blasted, sanded, sealed with Interprotect, and painted with new antifouling in 2023
- New Vulcan (Rocna) 73LB anchor
- All new full-blown Victron-based electrical system with 3x 206Ah LiFePO4 Batteries (618 Ah total) installed in 2023
- 800A of solar panels on the hard bimini
- New Simrad chart plotters on the flybridge and at the lower helm installed in 2024
- New Simrad Heavy-duty autopilot with Octopus Pump installed in 2025
- The teak saloon floor was replaced in 2024
- Carpet in the main cabin was replaced with new woven vinyl in 2025
- The saloon's vinyl ceiling was replaced in 2024
- New apartment-size fridge installed in 2023
- New washer/dryer vented outside (also has a ventless mode) installed in 2023
- New dinghy crane installed in 2023
- 12v oil-change system connected to both engines and generator makes changing oil a 15-minute job
- Electric toilets are flushed with fresh water, so you'll never have to worry about stinky hoses
- Separate showers in both heads (not wet heads)
- Highfield OM 340 Aluminum RIB dinghy on the aft deck
- Lots of other updates and improvements ...

Displacement speeds fuel consumption:
3 MPG @ 7.5 knots, fully loaded with 100% fuel in the tanks, full both water tanks

2025 survey, oil analysis, and ship log are available upon request.

Pricing notes
We are asking at the high end of the price range because of this boat being a freshwater vessel, very low hours engines, all the recent updates, and the turn-key condition of the boat.
