We completed America’s Great Loop in January 2026 on Sweet and Salty, a 2013 Leopard 39 Owner’s Version sailing catamaran, and have listed her for sale. We purchased the boat specifically to cruise America’s Great Loop due to her under 20’ beam to fit through the narrow last lock on the Trent-Severn Waterway in Canada, fuel efficiency, shallow draft, 1200 watts of solar, and to have the stability of a catamaran. We temporarily removed the mast and sails prior to starting the Loop, becoming under 15’ high to fit under the fixed bridges, and have them in storage nearby. You can see more of her and our Loop journey on our FB page at SVSweetAndSalty. We can also provide you with our meticulously documented Loop stats, anchorages, and marinas from our nine-month Loop journey, as well as our purchase survey from 2024.

Sweet and Salty is an Owner’s Version 2013 Robertson & Caine Leopard 39 Sailing Catamaran that comes loaded with many cruising goodies such as 1200 watts of solar, Victron Energy inverter, batteries & controllers, a Cummins Onan diesel generator, a fully enclosed cockpit, Starlink, and plenty of itemized spare boat parts to enjoy blue water cruising and remote anchorages.

She features a full-length starboard hull that can be closed off from the rest of the vessel. It is dedicated to the owner with a queen-sized berth, a desk/vanity, abundant storage, hanging lockers, and an ensuite with a spacious shower. In the port hull, you will find two comfortable guest cabins and a shared full bathroom, offering excellent guest accommodation without compromising privacy.

The raised helm station, protected by a hard top, provides excellent visibility and direct control. With its ergonomically designed fully enclosed cockpit with cushions, entertaining aboard flows naturally into the saloon, with a U-shaped settee, panoramic windows with generous natural light, and a well-appointed galley-up featuring Corian countertops, double drawer refrigerator and freezer, propane two-burner stove and oven, and generous pantry storage. A sleek Corian tabletop has replaced the original (which is in storage onboard). An additional Corian countertop has been added behind the port side settee for useful galley counterspace for appliances.

We are the current (third) owners and as mentioned, purchased the boat specifically to cruise America’s Great Loop. We just completed the 6,000-mile journey in January 2026, living aboard her full time the last year and a half. In order to motor under some low fixed bridges on the Loop, we had the mast and sails removed, and they are currently in storage nearby. However, the Leopard 39 is one of few models of sailing catamarans in the 40’ range that offers a factory standard ICW (Intracoastal Waterway) friendly mast to pass under the 65' fixed bridges. The mast and sails can be reinstalled for new owners or remain in storage to do the Loop, and all sails have been recently inspected and repaired.

Powered by twin Yanmar 3YM30 29hp inboard diesel engines with sail drives, the Leopard 39 is easy to maneuver; while still delivering the performance and reliability you expect of a well-designed sailing catamaran. Included is a dinghy with outboard engine, mounted on a davit system with electric winch.

Sweet and Salty has been regularly maintained and was never in charter service. The last survey and oil analysis were done in July 2024. She is currently located in Vero Beach, FL and is US Coast Guard Documented. The asking price is $330,000 (USD). Call/Text/WhatsApp: 916-276-3331 or Email: [email protected]
