Vessel History
“Island Quest” is a standout 2006 Cruisers Yachts 385 with only three previous owners. Throughout all ownerships, “Island Quest” received regular engine and hull servicing, updated navigation electronics, ensuring she remains in top operational condition. Service records are available for viewing.
January 2025 to the present
The current owners purchased “Island Quest” with 1100 hours, 18 months ago to cruise the Great Loop from an inland freshwater marina in South Carolina.
December 2021 to January 2025
The previous owners acquired “Island Quest” from the freshwaters of the St. Lawrence River. After a couple of years they took her down the east coast of the US and visited the Bahamas.
2006 to December 2021
The original owner used Island Quest on the St Lawernce River where she benefited from fresh water for 15 years, summers under covered slips and heated winter storage for eight months each year, preserving her condition.
Upgrades

Maintenance
The 2,000-hour service on both engines was completed in March 2026, ensuring continued reliability and performance. The bottom was freshly painted in March 2026. This Cruisers Yachts comes with reliable economical Volvo Penta diesel power, both bow and stern thrusters, full electronics package, Star Link satellite internet, tender with newer Yamaha 15hp engine, davit system, solar power, LiFePO4 battery bank, Victron off grid systems including Multiplus II 12/3000/120-50 120v inverter/charger, Renogy 700w solar panels with Victron MPPT controller, Victron DC-DC charging for the LiFePO4 400ah house battery bank, Splendide washer/dryer and upgraded anchor and rode, with electric windlass. Additionally available, as an option, the owners can purchase the Rainman watermaker.
“Island Quest” has two AC/heat/dehumidifier units, spacious accommodations with two staterooms, two separate heads with walk in showers, a crescent shaped dinette in the salon, all finished with an appealing high gloss cherry woodwork. A combination L-shaped couch features two recliners. Overlapping elliptical windows provide excellent outside visibility and light, and the U-shaped galley includes a double sink in addition to generous storage. The forward stateroom has a double berth as well as a single bunk. Top side highlights include acrylic wing doors, U-shaped flybridge seating, an extended swim platform with boarding steps to a full enclosed aft cockpit with hardtop, and new marine woven vinyl snap-in flooring. The Volvo Penta 370 hp D6 diesels cruise comfortably in the mid teen knots.
