1997 Mainship 350 Trawler
Location: Menominee, Michigan
Dimensions: LOA 39 feet, beam 14 feet, draft 3.8 feet
This Mainship is a well-maintained, twin-engine boat designed for comfortable liveaboard cruising, whether you’re on the Great Lakes, rivers or the ocean. This dual-station flybridge trawler is one of the most popular boats on America’s Great Loop and had completed the loop twice.
Flybridge
The spacious flybridge has a fully enclosed helm station, with Regalite vinyl windows installed in 2022, providing excellent visibility in all directions. A wide curved staircase – no ladders to climb – makes accessing the flybridge safe and easy. The helm features a Raymarine Axiom 9 multi-function display with AIS transmit/receive, Raymarine Quantum radar, and touchscreen auto-pilot, as well as a Standard Horizon AIS/GPS VHF radio with digital selective calling, hailer and fog signal. Also included are a cell phone Ram Mount bracket and four USB charge ports. The extended rear of the flybridge provides an excellent place to relax dockside or at anchor, and includes a wraparound canvas skirt and a Magma propane grill.
Lower Deck
The exterior of the boat has wide walkways with handrails all around, providing safe and easy access for docking, locking and mooring. The bow features a large anchor locker, a new in 2025 foot-controlled windlass with a 55-pound Rocna Vulcan anchor and 175 feet of chain. A Fortress anchor with rode, plus fenders and dock lines are also included. A sliding door on the starboard side provides easy access to the inside helm station. The large cockpit aft is covered by the extended flybridge and provides access to the salon through a sliding glass door. A rigid inflatable dingy rests upright on the transom with its 15-HP outboard attached. Two electric winches easily lower the dinghy into the water behind the swim platform. The cockpit also features a lake-water washdown hose.
Salon
The air-conditioned salon with reverse-cycle heat features a lower helm station, complete galley and living space. The galley features a dual-voltage Nova Kool refrigerator/freezer new in 2023, four-burner propane stove and oven, microwave, large sink, and an extendable counterspace. The living space offers a large couch and an expandable wooden-topped table for relaxing or eat-in dining. Recessed in the salon counter is a motorized 32-inch Samsung LED TV. Screened windows and doors allow for excellent ventilation.
State Rooms and Head
Three steps down from the salon, the lower level includes a comfortable master stateroom with a queen-size island berth. Cabinets, a hanging locker, drawers, and under-bed storage provides ample space for clothes. A guest stateroom also contains cabinets and a fold-out memory foam queen mattress. The head features a Vacuflush toilet, vanity with cabinets, and a large walk-in shower glass door. The lower level also features a second air-conditioner with reverse-cycle heat, and hatches and portlights have built-in screens for great air flow.
