Enjoying Our Last Days in Marathon

We have been staying at Marathon Marina and Resort since the beginning of December.  We have really enjoyed our time here.  Very nice marina with many activities and great people.
The manatees always seem to be around visiting the different boats and the sunsets can be spectacular.
The off shore fishing is usually very productive.
The local theater is very active and the performances are top notch.
Sombrero beach is just a short dinghy trip away or you can take a taxi for $5.
Movie night and bingo night are just some of the many activities.  There are potluck dinners, pool parties and special event parties (like Superbowl and Christmas)
A member of the Power Squadron performed a Courtesy Exam of 2 G's.  She passed with flying colors with the exception of our LED flare.  He wasn't sure how to treat that.  As you can see, our boat had not been inspected since 1984!
This is just a few of the many things we've done since being here.  Many trips to Key West including New Years Eve ($4 per person bus each way), visiting the state parks (Bahia Honda being our favorite), too many happy hours to count and trying out all the fabulous restaurants Marathon has to offer.
We will be heading to Key Largo in a couple of days so that will be our "official" start day of the loop as we have reservations for Marathon Marina and Resort next winter.
