Opportunities to get involved by becoming a Harbor Host or joining the Speakers Bureau. More to come in the future!

We know many of you are out there lending a helping hand to your fellow Loopers as they pass through your home port. Now, we'd like you to make it official. Sign up today to become an AGLCA Harbor Host and join a network of other Loop-Lovers willing to: offer navigational aid; provide transportation; give advice on restaurants, sights, marinas, repair facilities, etc.; educate fellow Loopers on local history and interesting side trips; maybe even provide a hot meal or glass of wine while you swap Looping yarns! If you are willing to do any, or all, of the above, please sign up today. As a participant in the program, we will post your information on this website in a special Harbor Host section. Your contact information will be displayed on our interactive Harbor Host map. And, most importantly, you will gain the satisfaction of knowing you have reached out and helped some fellow Loopers fulfill their dream.

This group participates in the legislative or other decision making process on issues related to the waterways of the Great Loop, focusing specifically on issues that have a major impact on a required portion of the route. Currently, this group is working to prevent the passage of legislation in the state of Florida that will limit overnight anchoring. Contact with the individual legislators in Florida will likely be needed via email and/or phone, review proposed legislation, and interface with our partner organizations and our lobbyist. Some members of the committee may also be needed to travel to Tallahassee to take part in the legislative process. Our fundraising efforts will help defray the travel expenses.

This group supports our advocacy efforts by raising funds to defray the cost of lobbyists, travel, and other expenses related to AGLCA's advocacy efforts. The first fundraiser, which is in need of volunteers to start immediately, is a web-based silent auction. Join now to help kick off the effort!

We’re always looking for volunteers eager to speak to groups interested in learning about America’s Great Loop. AGLCA maintains a Looper Lecturer List, which is a roster of members excited about this sort of engagement. We encourage members with interest in speaking, as well as those already doing so on their own, to sign up to speak up! Please put your name on the Looper Lecturer List! We’d extend your membership by 3 months as a small token of our appreciation each time we match you up and you do ‘speak on our behalf’!
