It's Over already

Can't believe it's over already.  The rendezvous I mean.....not the trip.

It has been a very enjoyable week.  We learned a lot from loopers who've already completed the loop.  We met so many nice people.  I believe there were about 250 loopers in attendance.  We were broken into categories: those who were in the planning stages, those in progress and those who have completed the loop.  Each day loopers would open up their boats for tour.  We saw some pretty nice boats.  There is an 80 year old gentlemen doing the loop, by himself, in 26 foot tug.  Good for him!  There was one woman who was doing the loop by herself, one woman in the planning stages, and one woman who's husband had recently passed and rather than sell the boat, she and her sister are going to do at least part of the loop.  YOU GO GIRLS!!!!

Most of the boats are pulling out today.  Our neighbors left around 7 this morning.  It's was sad to see them go, you build a relationship (albeit a short one) and you don't know when or if you'll ever see them again.  It's interesting how many people we're touched by in a lifetime.

Tom and I are leaving on Monday.  Tom didn't want to have to deal with weekend boaters.  We rented a car to l check out some of the sites, do laundry and go to the grocery store.

Until next time.
